At this past meeting, very few people showed up. This may be due to the fact that there were no announcements because of TAKS and that many did not take note of the meeting date last time. Lucky, there was not very much to miss because contrary to belief, position papers were not returned. But, they were posted online. Bad news is a number of them did fail, including a majority of France’s. My main idea is because they were “too detailed and too long”, making it a good problem have and easy one to fix. This shows we have intellegent people. The complete list is available at http://www.hamun.org/Scores_All_Round1.xls. So, the next DRW will be a good place to find out why they did fail. The next DRW is Saturday, November 13 from 9:00am-11:00am at Morton Ranch HS. I will not be able to attend because of a very important commitment
. A carpool has yet to be established due to no volunteers. If one develops, all will be notified. Best bet is to find your own ride. For those of you that were not chosen to send in your position papers, you will be alternates and active members. The next meeting’s date has yet to be set, but when it is listen to the announcements and check your email for information.

The position papers may be a setback, but The Woodlands Model United Naitions will make a stand at the conference and be the group to watch.
